Sandgate Cemetery
Hunter & Central Coast Region, New South Wales, Australia

116 Maitland Road,
Sandgate NSW 2304
Phone 02 49683602

The cemetery opened in 1881. Sections were apportioned to nine religious groups and each of these managed by separate Trustees. There was a time when the cemetery went downhill, but now it is being revitalized and enlarged. see link below.

There were burials removed from other cemeteries to Sandgate, therefore one might find markers dating back into the early 1840's.

This is not a complete listing of all of the burials in this cemetery. The records below were provided by contributors to Interment.net. Last edited Nov 08, 2008. Total records = 10.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
