Mareeba Shire, Queensland, Australia

Total records = 5.
Kingsborough Cemetery is located north west of Dimbulah Qld. Drive
west from Mareeba along the Burke Development Road to Dimbulah then
turn left up the Thornborough road (dirt road) and follow the signs
to Kingsborough turning left at Thornborough approx. 40km from Dimbulah.
About 2km before you get to the Kingsborough cattle station there
is a turn to the left at the cemetery sign.
This cemetery is unkempt and overgrown with several graves without
headstones as well as the ones listed. Kingsborough and district
is part of the Hodgkinson Goldfields discovered in 1876 by Irish
explorer James Venture Mulligan. The graves range 1884-1910 but
only a few with headstones.
I visited the Kingsborough Cemetery in June 2008, transcribed
this list from the visable headstones and photographed the graves.
