The Pomona Cemetery is a few kilometres out of town on the Kin Kin road.
The Cemetery has a wide frontage, adorned by an abundant display of hippeastrums in October-November.
Pomona is the home of the annual footrace to the top of the mountain. A local lad held the title "King of the Mountain" for a few years. The first race is said to have originated from bar room bravado. This foolhardy competition attracts competitors from overseas and interstate, to negotiate the goat track. There is a silent movie house, and museum, which has been quite popular.
