Location

To reach this cemetery take the Autoroute #10 East, exit 68, turn left towards Cowansville. In Cowansville take Rte 104, to West Brome, turn right onto Rte 139 and this will take you to Abercorn. Turn left on Rue des Églises E and its only a short distance past the Old Abercorn Cemetery to reach Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

The cemetery is situated on the north side of Rue des Églises E, and is set back from the road about 1,000 feet. The access road starts at the address of 21 Rue des Églises E.

About the Cemetery

This is a pretty little cemetery, far from the road, in a country setting. It is well kept, and the monuments are in very good condition.

Abercorn itself is a small town, (pop. approximately 300) situated at the foot of Sutton Mountain, between Sutton and the Quebec-Vermont Border. Abercorn was once known as Shepard's Mills, it was here the New Hampshire loyalist Thomas Shepard settled in 1792.
