Driving Directions

From Lennoxville, take Route 108 East to the town of Cookshire. Continue through the town and the cemetery is on the right side of the road immediately after the Cookshire Protestant Cemetery.

Cemetery History

This cemetery is called Cookshire Catholic Cemetery as well as Saint Camille Cemetery. It appears to have begun around 1872 much later than the adjacent Protestant Cemetery. The earliest burials were English Catholics but today most of the burials are French Catholics. The cemetery is well cared for with a nice fence and paved lanes.

Cemetery Records

Records linked below were transcribed from tombstone inscriptions by Leslie & Susan Nutbrown during visits to the cemetery in August of 2007 and again in 2015.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
