From Quebec City, head north on Highway 175, take exit to Stoneham (approx. 25 km) Take Route 371 to Tewkesbury for 10 km, when you get to the church, turn left (you'll still be on route 371. About 2 km later you'll see the cemetery on the hill to your left.

The grounds of the Tewkesbury Cemetery are well taken care of, many stones are quite old and starting to be difficult to read. The cemetery is on quite a steep slope with most of the tombstones perpendicular to the slope. There are still a few wooden tombstones which are almost impossible to read anymore.

Judging from the stones, this cemetery dates back to the early 1900s. I am not sure who maintains the grounds.

Michel Drolet and I have compiled this information entirely from the tombstone inscriptions, first in Oct 2003 and I revised them in Sep 2010. It represents all visible burials although there were also a few markers. I have taken digital pictures of these tombstones and can forward them to those interested.
