Bethel Cemetery
Bethel, Shefford County, Quebec

Contributed by Joan Cruickshank, Jul 07, 2007 . Total records = 14.

This tiny cemetery is snuggled amongst some overgrown trees and bush at the intersection of Route 222 north, out of Valcourt, Quebec, and Bethel Road. It could easily be missed because there is no mention of any cemetery being there.

This small cemetery, dating back to the 1800s. Most of the 11 existing headstones are in poor condition which made reading them very difficult. However, the cemetery itself was well maintained.

I walked this cemetery in June of 2007, and transcribed from the stones to the best of my ability.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
