The cemetery is in the scenic town of North Hatley, situated on route 108 (Capelton Road). From Lennoxville, take Route 143 south to route 108 (Capelton Road). The cemetery is on your left as you approach the town. Beside it is a much smaller Catholic Cemetery.

The earliest headstone dates from 1849. There is undoubtedly some unmarked graves as there are gaps in the older section. The cemetery is in excellent shape with almost all stones clear and legible and I saw no broken stones. There are two paved lanes and a large parking area.

The cemetery is often referred to as Reedsville Cemetery. The three most common surnames are Bean, Reed, and Lebaron. It is maintained by the North Hatley Cemetery Association.

I visited this cemetery in Nov 2004 and in Apr of 2005 and recorded all legible headstones.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
