To reach this cemetery take the A57 to Lincoln and join the B1273. At the second roundabout turn right onto Newport Road. The cemetery is behind Saint John Church. Access is via a path that runs down the right hand side of the church. Alternatively take the A15 to Lincoln, then join the Bll82. This leads to the B1273. Turn left at the second roundabout and you will be on Newport Road.

The cemetery which opened in 1856 is the burial ground for Saint John and Saint Nicholas parishes. There is a special plot for cremated remains.

The cemetery is very well maintained. The City of Lincoln Council is responsible for management and maintenance of the grounds. Burials still occur at the cemetery.
