Contributed by Johnny L. Williams, Nov 16, 2006, last edited Jan 08, 2007 [geopegp@msn.com]. Total records = 48.

From Wills Valley at Interchange of 222 and Hwy 11, turn north or left onto Hwy 11. Cemetery is on the right or east side of the Hwy, and south of Walnut Grove Church.

This cemetery is on a mound, thought to be an old Indian burial site. Some of the tombstones set in this cemetery were made 20 years after the death of the individuals for which set. There may be some errors in names and dates, and several dates, can be updated to include the day and month of birth and death. I will attempt to make this a more meaningful survey by completing some of those dates and maiden names of the spouses where they are known. There are at least 12 graves that are likely to never be identified.

I have transcribed this work with permission from one done Jun 12, 1965 by Ralph H. and Louise Allred of Gadsden, Alabama. Re-surveyed and updated Jan 16, 2001 by Roland E. Tate.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
