To reach cemetery from Talladega Springs, drive south on the Sylacauga Fayetteville Highway for about 1 mile. The cemetery is on your left or east side of the highway.

In the Alabama Cemetery Atlas #2, 1999, it says the first burial in this cemetery was that of Susan Wilson in 1837. There were 220 burials here at that time. This means many have been added since this reading.

This cemetery was surveyed in Oct 1963 under the direction of Ralph H. and Louise Allred of Gadsden, Alabama by Jack V. & Margaret Horton of Gadsden, Alabama. Sandy Spence entered into the computer from their work, and I am publishing it with permission.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
