From the circle in Amity, take Highway 8 W one block to Mountain Street. Turn left onto Mountain Street and go .4 of a mile. Cemetery will be on the right side of the road.

This cemetery has not been kept up and a lot of the stones are broken and not readable. These are the ones that I could make out. The last burial in this cemetery was in 1892.

When I first read this cemetery in 1999, I was informed that its name was Mill Creek Cemetery. Since that time a sign has been erected stating the name is Haygood Cemetery.

I read this cemetery on Sep 06, 1999, updated Nov 18, 2007.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
