Driving Directions

This small rural cemetery is about .2 miles south of McNary at mile post 361 south of the marsh off highway 260. To reach it turn right leaving McNary across a cattle gate on the south side of the highway after the marsh and bear left for about .1 mile to a fence area.

Cemetery Status

This cemetery contains 27 marked and about 12 unmarked graves. The earliest identified grave is from 1926 and the latest is from 1971. There are a small number of graves showing signs of visitation in the last several years. The cemetery contains two broken down outhouses among the graves probably intended for use of the mourners in years past.

There seems to be no evidence of an official name for the cemetery. The USGS map shows the cemetery beside a church, which is no longer there. For now it is called McNary Church Cemetery.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
