History
Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cypress was established in 1958, by the same company that owns it today, and opened up for burials in 1961. Prior to the cemetery, the 146 acres of land was comprised of citrus groves, dairy farms, and small family homesteads. During the Baby Boom period after WWII, the increasing population demanded more non-sectarian cemeteries.
