To reach the cemetery drive north on Perris Blvd to Metz Rd, turn
right and the cemetery will be on the north side of the road.
History, first memorial day services were held May 30,
1892, over the gravesite of civil war veteran, John Reynolds, ggrandfather
of Cheryl French who lives in Lake Elsinore. The original cemetery
was located in what is now an empty field east of 'G' and 7th Sts
in Perris. The bodies of those buried there were removed to the
new cemetery, located on Perris Blvd in the city of Perris in 1927.
Members of the Moreno Valley Genealogical Society in California
recorded these inscriptions in Feb & Mar 2002. On behalf of our
Society I am submitting this transcription from the society. A
map of the cemetery can be seen here.
