Juancito Cemetery
Campo Indian Reservation, San Diego County, California

Most crosses were painted white, while some were black and others blue. A few crosses had ribbon stapled around their perimeters, pulled tight. When the wind hit the ribbon in the right direction, it made a sound similar to that of a didjerido, the Aboriginal music instrument. Walking about the cemetery, you can hear this sound at different frequencies depending on which direction the wind blew.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
