In South Windsor the cemetery can be reached by driving north on Main Street about a mile. Just after you pass Newberry Road you will see the cemetery on the left behind the First Congregational Church.

This cemetery dates back to the early 1800s with the first burials taking place in 1803. It is owned and maintained by the city of South Windsor.

This cemetery is still used and very well cared for. It is in the historic district of South Windsor and the road to the cemetery is considered a scenic drive.

I walked and read this cemetery on Jan 10, 2005. It includes all existing and legible stones up to that date.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
