Schank Cemetery
Montgomery County, Iowa

207th and J Street
Red Oak, Iowa 51556

Lat: 41°00'15"N, Lon: 95°11'36"W
Red Oak Twp, Sec 26

Contributed by Anne Braun, Jul 01, 2003 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 12.

From Red Oak, take 215th Street about .75 miles east until you hit J Street, go on J Street until you reach 207th Street, turn there. The cemetery is right there.

This is an old pioneer cemetery. The grass is mowed but some of the markers and headstones are broken and toppled over. It was fairly hard to read some of them. The last burial took place in 1908.
I walked this cemetery on Jun 23 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
