Clark Cemetery
Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois

Lat: 41° 20' 07"N, Lon: 89° 29' 55"W

Contributed by Mary Parish, Nov 10, 2005, last edited Nov 16, 2005 [mparish5@charter.net]. Total records = 9.

Head south out of Princeton on Hwy 26 toward Tiskilwa, turn right onto Lovers Lane drive about 2 miles, Cemetery will be on your left/south side, up on top of a hill, just as the road makes a sharp turn north.

There appear to have been more burials but no tombstones were found. It was used in the mid 1800s. History indicts that some burials were removed to other cemeteries.

This old family cemetery is on a farm and well maintained by the current property owner, Terry Hjelle. You must have permission from the property owner to enter. You will not find the cemetery unless he is with you.

I visited and walked this cemetery in June of 2005. It includes all existing and legible headstones and markers up to that date.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
