Total records = 27.

To reach Buchanan Cemetery as you go north on Barbersville Rd. from Canaan you will cross the sign for the Ripley County line, but you come to Buchanan Cemetery before you reach the road that marks the Ripley/Jefferson County lines. Jackie walked the cemetery Sep 5, 2000

The name marked with an * is a name that was on the DAR list of 1941 but when I visited the cemetery I couldn't find the stone.
Names marked with ** are stones that were moved from McLaughlin Cemetery sometime between 1972 and 1984. McLaughlin Cemetery was southwest of the Buchanan Cemetery.
Names marked with *** are stones that were moved from Buchanan "Family Plot" which was located southwest of the Buchanan Cemetery. These stones were also moved sometime between 1972 and 1984. There were about 30 stones that were unreadable, some were probably footstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
