"The Lerado Cemetery began in 1877 with one small grave, the infant daughter of J.F. Martins was buried on his homestead. A short time later another tiny grave was placed nearby, Olive Ely, daughter of M.S. Ely. the Martins and Elys were early settlers in this area. other stones appeared to mark the final resting place of both young and old, and the Lerado Cemetery Association was formed in 1885. Although this cemetery in located in south western Reno County many of the early Kingman County pioneers are buried here." - from cemetery sexton record book

I have compiled this transcription from the Lerado cemetery Sexton records. It contains all known burials up to June of 2012.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
