From Main street in Springfield,KY take Mackville Rd. Go 3.6 miles turn right on Claybrook Lane 3rd drive on the left or 8/10 of a mile turn left. Brick house straight ahead go to the back of that house park in front of garage and gravesite is in chicken coop to your left while sitting in car.

Records only show James Brand but another decendant of previous owner knows from his grandfather two (2)negro men and two (2) infants belonging to James Brand are buried there. according to a fellow named Jim Johnson of TN Two infants also buried there named Jacob and Isacc plus two negro men who worked for James Brand.

Also searched records at Springfield, KY library and courthouse in Springfield, KY. I have a letter, written Feb 2001, from the original owner, Roman Miller, confirming there is a grave on this land. The new owner bought it somewhere after Feb 2001.

I have a picture of the headstone which was there as of Feb 10, 2001 before new owner bought farm. When I visited in June 2002, the headstone was gone.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
