Hwy 64 & Hwy 964
Plains LA

Lat: 30°39'28"N, Lon: 91°11'39"W

Contributed by Joel Manuel, Jan 04, 2002 [joelm@ethics.state.la.us]. Total records = 22.

To reach the cemetery from Zachary, take Hwy 64 west to the intersection of Hwy 964. It is on the north side of the highway.

The cemetery is north of the intersection of Highway 64 and Old Scenic Highway (Highway 964), in the rear of the Cemetery of Buhler Plains. The Hunt Family Cemetery has its own fence and sign.

I walked the cemetery in September 2001, reading all visible headstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
