From Marshall Hall, go 1 mile S/SW on River Road until you reach Simmons Place. Turn there and go .2 miles W/NW on Simmons Place until you see a mailbox that says 1475. Turn there and go up to the parking area. From the parking area, walk about 175 yards E/NE until you reach the little cemetery that is in the woods.

A small family cemetery which only has one headstone left in there. The people who live near there told me at one time that there were three headstones that were there, but two of them disappeared. On some maps it is the community of Stevenson.

The Brandt family had a plantation called Greenwich. They were a prominent family in this area from the 1600s until the 1850s. The information I got for this one was from the DAR lisiting of cemeteries in 1940.

I walked and read this cemetery on Apr 05, 2008.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
