Welcome, Charles County, Maryland

In Welcome, from the intersection of Highway 6 and Fire Tower Road, go north on Fire Tower Road for 1 mile until you see a sign that says "Rosemary Lawn" turn left there and go to the old barn about .1 of a mile. You can park there and walk southeast across the cornfield for about 200 yards. The cemetery is at the edge of the woods with a wooden fence around it.

Rosemary Lawn is another small family cemetery. The Barnes and Mitchell Families are buried here. The cemetery is in fair condition with some overgrowth. There are 7 depressions in the ground that I feel signifies that there are unmarked graves there. These graves re-marked with pieces of wood.

This includes only headstone readings transcribed from when I visited this cemetery on Apr 08, 2005

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
