Devilbiss Cemetery
Frederick County, Maryland

8017 Devilbiss Bridge Rd
Frederick, Maryland

Contributed by Anne Braun, May 06, 2004 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 6.

From Frederick, go north on US Highway 15 for 3 miles until you reach Devilbiss Bridge Road. Turn on to Devilbiss Bridge Road and go 1 mile until you reach Lenhart Road. The cemetery is in the front yard of an old stone house that is across the street from Lenhart Road. The cemetery is on the south side of the road.

A small family cemetery. I visited this one and compared my notes with Mr. Holcraft's listing done in March 1958, which had only 4 names on it. I was able to find two more headstones plus three fieldstones (one with writing on it).

The cemetery was used by the Devilbiss Family in the early 19th century.

I walked through this cemetery on May 4, 2004.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
