In Damascus, from the intersection of Bethesda Church Road and Highway 27, turn west on Bethesda Church Road and go .33 miles until you hit Kings Valley Road, turn left on Kings Valley and go south 1 mile until you hit Kingstead Road turn left and go until you reach the first farm. The cemetery is on the farm in the middle of a cornfield. You can also tell where the cemetery is by the two cedar trees that are planted there.

The cemetery is in the middle of a cornfield. When I walked through it, I found a lot of the stones are buried in the ground and I had to dig them up just to read them. I am sure there are more people buried there but I am also sure that the the headstones are buried too.

A very sad situation. The owners of the farm asked me how that they can go about fixing up the cemetery. Most burials in the cemetery are from the King Family. The last burial took place in 1900.

I visited and walked this cemetery May 21, 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
