Claggett Family Cemetery
Upper Marlboro, Prince George County, Maryland

6690 Old Crain Highway Upper Marlboro MD

Lat: 38° 48' 00"N, Lon: 76° 46' 49"W

Contributed by Anne Braun, Mar 13, 2004 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 15.

In Upper Marlboro, from the intersection of Highways 301 and 4, go south/southwest for 2.5 miles. Turn north on Old Crain Highway and go north/northwest .5 miles until you reach a dirt road. (there will be a small white house and 4 mailboxes next to it.) Turn left onto dirt road and go .25 miles until you hit a grass and dirt road. Turn and go uphill to the cemetery.

The cemetery is .25 miles west of Old Crain Highway. You can see the cemetery from the road.

A family cemetery which is well taken care of. It is a lovely site because it sits up on a hill. They still use the cemetery for Claggett Family members.

This is from my visit on Mar 13, 2004. This transcription contains all existing and legible headstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
