Freeport cemetery is on the north side of the town of Freeport, very
close to the Kent County line.
This cemetery is owned and very well maintained by the Village of Freeport
and it is still being used for burials.
The records were first published from which were compiled by the Hastings
Barry County Historical/Genealogical Society in 1997. I have since updated
this work as stated below.
Information was gathered by Ruth McMonigle and I when we walked the
cemetery, adding all new burials. We also collected information from
the county records and newspapers.
