To reach the cemetery in Hastings take Hwy 37 south, turn left or east onto E River Road and continue to McKeown, where you turn south or right. he cemetery will be on your left in 1/2 mile.

This is a township cemetery which is maintained by the Hastings Township. It is southeast of Hastings MI about 5 miles, on the north side of the Thornapple River. Judging from the readings, it dates back to the late 1800s.

Ruth McMonigle and I walked this cemetery in May 2007. We added the new burials and found out more dates for others. I then contacted Bonnie Cruttenden, Hastings Twp clerk. She was very helpful and gave me grave locations. I went through the township files and matched them to mine.
