To reach Mount Calvary Cemetery take Hwy 37 west out of Hastings
about a mile. The cemetery is on the right/north side of the road
on the east side of intersection with Cook Road.
This cemetery is owned and maintained by Saint Rose Church. The
lady I spoke to told me that its at least 100 years. I did notice
an 1861 burial date, so the site has been used for burial about
146 years.
I first transcribed this cemetery in March of 2000 from records
and tombstone readings, with additional records provided by Paula
Walters.
Ruth McMonigle and I recorded the new burials and added some
date information to the existing list, after we walked Mount Calvary
Cemetery in July of 2007.
