Cemeteries of Polk County Volume 9, Red River Genealogical Society, 1987 says, this was the first Holy Trinty Cemetery. All the people who buried there is of Czech Nationality. The last burial took place in 1937.

On the south edge of the cemetery is a large crucifix of Jesus. It is also an early Catholic Cemetery and there have been reports that people saw ghosts when they visited there.

I have presented the headstone readings in both English and Czech. I walked this cemetery in the summer of 2001.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
