Leave Lucedale, Mississippi on Old Highway 63 South, you will come to the intersection with the highway 63 by-pass. Here you will take the highway 63 by-pass and go south toward Pascagoula, Mississippi. You will go 4.2 miles and there will be an intersecting road on your right called Mount Pleasant road. Take this right hand turn and go another 1.8 miles. Cemetery will be on your left beside the church.

The Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and cemetery will be on your left. The cemetery belongs to this church and upkeep is provided by family members of those buried here. There were many unmarked graves in this cemetery along with many temporary markers that had long since faded to the point no information can be salvaged from them.

There is another Mt. Pleasant cemetery in this area of George County, Mississippi but is totally separate from this one.

I walked this cemetery on Dec 21, 2007, and the information was taken from all legible temporary markers and headstone inscriptions.
