Travel northwest out of Lucedale, Mississippi on highway 198 about 4miles. Turn left onto highway 98 (going northwest), and go another mile. Here you will see a small store on your right (Carolyn's Grocery), directly across the highway on your left (south) turn onto Bexley Road South and continue for .4 mile. The cemetery will be on your right beside a church.

This cemetery belongs to Saint James Baptist Church and they provide the upkeep. It is surrounded by a chain link fence and there were several unmarked graves in the cemetery.

All information was gathered from headstone inscriptions and temporary grave markers, when I walked this cemetery on Dec 22, 2007.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
