20 miles north of Big Timber Hwy 191 take the Melville Road past the oldest Lutheran Church in Montana and go 1 mile and 2 acres of cemetery lies fenced off in black angus pasture with the Crazy Mountains as a background.

A list was made n 1984, we have updated it and found more info than before, however there are a few stones missing.

This record was compiled by my husband and I on May 29, 2003. We mapped out the cemetery and took pictures of every stone, and wrote down everything that was there.

This cemetery was dedicated November 8, 1885. Immigrants from Norway settled there and took great pride in their church and cemetery. The cemetery is still being taken care of and new burials are accepted. Most of the history was put together by the families who settled there and was transcribed into a book titled "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" by Lucille Anderson of Melville MT
