Take hwy 73 west from Albemarle to Mt. Pleasant. At the first stop light take a left on to South Main St. A little way down the road S. Main turns into Mt. Pleasant Rd. Stay on Mt. Pleasant Rd. till you come to a four way intersection. At this intersection you will take a left on to Miami Church Rd. Go to the very end of Miami Church Rd and take a left onto Barrier-Georgeville Rd. There is no street sign here, but as you turn left the cemetery will be on your left up on a very small hill right near the road.

This cemetery is in poor conditon and is not accepting burials that I am aware of. There is a large wooden structure in the middle of the cemetery.

Crystal G. Elliott and I surveyed this cemetery in June of 2003. We transcribed all existing headstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
