Directions: From Angier turn east on Hwy #210 and go 7.6 miles to a cotton field on your right. There is a driveway. Drive in about 100 ft. to the remains of a family cemetery. town of Coats was named for this family.
Of the 6 people thought to be buried here, only 2 headstones remain. The ruins of an Antebellum farmhouse sit another 100 feet back and all are surrounded by cotton fields. The nearby town of Coats was named for this family.
