The Greer Cemetery is located just south of the Bethlehem Baptist Church at 4663 Gum Branch Road and north of Ramsey Street in Jacksonville, NC in the community of Half Moon.

This is a privately owned cemetery. It is surrounded by a double-gated fence and a wrought iron entrance that reads "Greer Cemetery 1886". The grounds were well kept and clean. The access is by way of a gravel driveway.

There are 2 headstones for Mary A. Greer located on 2 different rows, and 2 rows apart. Both are born on Sep 2, 1887. One headstone has July 25, 1896 and the other headstone has July 28, 1896 as the date of death. We have recorded them as 2 different people.

Wanola Goddard, Wanda Ransdell, and I recorded this cemetery on Jun 03, 2007. All markers containing writing were recorded. There possibly are some unmarked graves.
