On Hwy. #55, about 1/2 mile east of the intersection of Holly Springs Rd. and Hwy. #55, in Holly Springs NC.

Holly Springs is a small town about 15 miles south of Raleigh, N.C., half way between the town of Apex to the west and Fuquay Varina on the east. It has been a sleepy village with mostly African American inhabitants until the recent explosion of growth in Wake County. Now, new sub-divisions, schools, shopping centers and a pricey country club have changed the character of this peaceful community.

The cemetery is neatly mowed, but the graves are not orderly and many are not marked. Some tombstones are dangerously close to the highway which is due to be widened. All the tombstones were counted. Recorded by Shirley and Gordon Olson, Jun 22, 2001.
