Lat:35°39'43"N, Lon: 78°45'52"W

Contributed by Shirley Olson, Jun 10, 2001 [shirley32olson@yahoo.com]. Total records = 7.

Directions: From Raleigh Hwy.40, go south on Hwy. 401 about 8 miles to Ten-ten Road (1010). Turn west (right) for about 3 miles to West Lake Road. Turn south (left) to the intersection of Optimist Farm Road and turn west (right) for about a mile, just past Pierce Olive Road a little driveway is the cemetery entrance on the right side of the road.

The Olive family has given it's name to a number of roads in southwest Wake County. This lovely rural rise decorated with wild raspberries and queen Anne's lace, on a once dirt road, holds the remains of a few of this family. Just up the road is a cluster of new schools and a number of subdivisions. The road has been paved and more urbanization is soon to come. Recorded by Shirley and Gordon Olson.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
