Directions from Raleigh, NC: On the south side of Raleigh take Beltline
exit # 298, (Hwys 70, 401, and 50) to Tryon where the roads split. Bear
left at the light onto Hwy. 70 & 50. Go a short distance to the traffic
light at Timber Rd., and turn right on to Timber Rd. which will dead end
on the Hwy. 50 (Benson Rd.). Turn right and go about 5- 6 miles on Benson
Rd. to Turner Farms Subdivision, and turn left onto Turner Farms Rd. Take
your first right onto Simon Drive, and a left to Old Memorial Circle.
Parking is not really good, just get off the road as much as possible.
Turner Cemetery is no longer in use, it is sort of an "honored
decoration" in a circular road near the front of a subdivision, "Turner
Farms", that bears the name of the former property owners.
I surveyed this cemetery on Mar 27, 2002.
