Wilson Cemetery
Wake County, North Carolina

1010 Rd, Apex NC

Lat: 35° 43' 32"N, Lon: 78° 49' 36"W
White Oak Twp

Contributed by Shirley Olson, Jun 05, 2004 [shirley32olson@yahoo.com]. Total records = 11.

Dir: Take US # 1 south to exit # 96, turn left (west)onto 1010 Rd., for 1/10 mi., pull over and park before the road narrows to 2 lanes. Walk down a steep embankment to the fenced cemetery which is accessed through a gate on the west side, partly obscured by trees.

There is a high wooden fence surrounding this family cemetery located below street level. It is neatly mowed and in good condition. The last burial was in 1928, although there is room for more graves. Here is another cemetery "hidden in plain sight." I have passed it at least 300 times and never "saw" it.

Dave Ross located this cemetery, and I transcribed it from tombstones on Jun 04, 2004.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
