Green Cemetery

Green Cemetery is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway about a half mile east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 221.

It is difficult to access from the road. One has to climb a wooded embankment and then walk about a 100 yards through a cow pasture.

This cemetery is located on private property. I found no history or ownership information, but it appears to be a small family cemetery.

The cemetery contains only three gravestones. These stones have weathered badly and they are difficult to read. The cemetery is located in a small clump of trees and it is fenced and gated. This grave site does not appear to be maintained at all.

I completed reading and transcribing this cemetery from all existing and legible headstones and markers in Oct 30, 2006.
