Biggs Cemetery
Lorton, Otoe County, Nebraska

CR 48, Lorton, Nebraska

Lat: 40° 36' 09"N, Lon: 96° 00' 39"W
McWilliams Twp, Sec 1

Contributed by Anne Braun, Oct 31, 2005 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 46.

From Lorton go .8 miles east on Highway 129 until you reach County Road 48. Turn left onto County Road 48 and go north for .5 miles. The cemetery is on the west side of the road.

The land for this cemetery was donated in Allen and Catherine Biggs in 1872 with the death of their daughter. A good deal of the burials were from the Biggs Family. This cemetery is in good condition.

I visited this cemetery on Oct 19, 2005 and read all existing and legible headstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
