Directions from the NJ Turnpike Exit 5. Turn right off the TP exit onto County Route 541 (East). It is approximately two miles to Mount Holly. Coming into the Mt Holly area you will follow County Route 541 and at the Burger King on the Right side of the road you will bear right. This will put you on the Mount Holly Bypass (still 541) and go two traffic lights and make a left hand turn onto the Marne Highway. The cemetery is approximately 100 yards on the left hand side. There are three entrances.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Mount Holly NJ. It was originally known as the Saint Mary Cemetery. It is a very clean, neat and well organized area. If you need to find the exact location of a grave suggest you contact the cemetery manager at above information.

Names were recorded by a walk through over the past four months. Some stones were unreadable and worn. Some official records were lost in a fire from the very early days and there appears to be no stones in many spots in the older section of the cemetery. This transcript was completed in April 2004.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
