Hazard Family Cemetery
Greenway, Oneida County, New York

Brown Road, Rome, NY

This cemetery is located quite a distance off the Brown Road, just west of the Greenway Road and north of Greenway Corners, in the City of Rome.

This is a small family cemetery The cemetery is badly neglected but all the stones are upright with the exception of one. The one stone on the ground was illegible and could not be copied.

In addition there are two small stones side-by-side that were blocked by a large fallen tree, making a complete transcription impossible. It appeared to be stones for Joseph Dyer & George Hazard who were also included on the larger monument.

Virginia Ackerman and I transcribed this from all existing and legible tombstones on May 01, 2001.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
