History

Union Cemetery opened for burials in 1847. It was officially named "The Sandy Hill and Fort Edward Union Cemetery" back when the village of Hudson Falls was named Sandy Hill. It's the primary burying ground for the villages of Hudson Falls and Fort Edward.
