Take 335 out of Waverly, 5.1 miles, crossing over the railroad tracks, take the first road to the right, which is Maple St, follow Maple till it becomes Pearl St., the Omega Cemetery entrance is off of Pearl St.

Omega Cemetery is in excellent condition and is still being used today. The Jackson Township trustees take care of this cemetery for Pike County.

The records were destroyed about fire years ago, so we don't know how many people are buried here without stones. I have obituaries for most of the people buried in this cemetery.

These records were read from the tombstones in the graveyard in Jul of 1984 by Vicky L.Frey and Karen Bales. In 1997 it was updated with the newer stones read by Linda Bowles. So these records are complete with all existing records up to 1997.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
