This cemetery is located on the south side of Shotpouch Road, approximately two miles east of the intersection of Shotpouch Road and Shotpouch Trail, near the former townsite of Peak and on the northwest side of Mary Peak. (Turn left at Burnt Woods).

This burial ground is on property originally owned by George W. Cramer. The cemetery is essentially a family plot since most of the graves represent members of the Davidson and Cramer families. Harrison Davidson and his wife, Virginia Cramer Davidson, settled a homestead in this location in 1885. Just to the east of the cemetery, on property originally owned by Harrison Davidson, was the townsite of Peak which had a post office from 1899 until 1917. Mail was delivered three times a week from Philomath to Harlan via Peak.

I walked and enumerated this cemetery in March, 1991.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
