From Interstate HWY I-5, take the Clackamas Exit 12A southbound or Exit 12 northbound and go east on Hwy 224. Follow Hwy 224 approximately 17 miles, and then go east on SE Heiple Road. Turn right on SE Eagle Creek Road. There is a grocery store about a mile on the east side of the road. The cemetery is on the west side of the road just south of the store.

The Currin Cemetery is visible from SE Eagle Creek Road and has a chain link fence surrounding it. The property is owned by the Gillilands and permission must be requested to access the cemetery. Bill Linn, the current owner, stated his father had removed many wooden markers and replaced them with cement and plaques which would account for the lack of information on some of the tombstones. It is partially maintained by the owners of the surrounding property.

The Currin Cemetery was established in 1855 with the first burial of a Mrs. Waldrip. It is on the Hugh and Diona Currin donation land claim No 40, Clackamas County, Oregon. It is currently owned by William R Linn and Salena H Linn, descendants of the Currins. Its location is T3S R4E Sec 8, Tax Lot 2000, Clackamas County, Oregon and contains less than one acre.

A complete inventory including tombstone photos and family photos where available has been undertaken with the help of a grant from the Oregon Historic Cemetery Commission. Documented information has been obtained through family records and histories, genealogy websites, and county records.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
